New Aqueduct Brings Drinking Water to Villages in Chaco

UnitecAgro, the Agro industrial Business Company that is part of Corporación América with Eduardo Eurnekian,is ready to inaugurate an aqueduct in the northern province of Chaco.

 U$ 40 million have been invested in the 273 Km. of canals that aregoing to be constructed. As well as being used for irrigation, the aqueductwill bring water to several villages in the region. So, as soon as the aqueductbegins to operate, the villages of Laguna Limpia, Ciervo Petizo, PresidenciaRoca, Capitán Solari and Las Garcitas, will have a supply of drinking watercoming from the Bermejo River.

ChacoProvince Governor, Jorge Capitanich, visited the aqueduct with a group ofMoroccan businessmen and government employees. The Governor said to the pressthat this aqueduct “will boost agricultural business and improve human lives bybringing drinking water to many people”.

Minister ofProduction, Aziz Akhannouch, headed the Moroccan delegation that arrived toChaco who are interested in local production, particularly in cottoncultivation and stockbreeding genetics. This is the reason why they visitedUnitec Agro, where they observed the crops, the cattle, and the cottonplantations. “It is a very important visit for us, we could witness how one ofthe biggest farms in Argentina works, and we are taking back lots of importantinformation, such as water treatment. “, said the African Minister.
